We welcome you to the UCSF Epilepsy Center. Our team is dedicated to the comprehensive care of patients with epilepsy. We offer a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach and evaluations at the UCSF Epilepsy Center will initially consist of a consultation with an epileptologist, who may then refer you for further testing/treatment. Our services include Video/EEG telemetry, state-of-the art neuroimaging, neuropsychological testing, complex pharmacological assessments, dietary consultation, neurosurgical consultation and counseling.
If you would like to schedule an appointment with a physician at UCSF's Epilepsy Center, please call 415-353-2437 or have your physician’s office fax the Referral Form to us at 415-353-2837. Please make sure your physician’s office faxes a copy of your insurance cards (front and back) to expedite the process.
The UCSF Epilepsy Center accepts most insurance plans, including PPOs, HMOs, Medi-Cal, Medicare, TriCARE, and TriWest. You may be required to pay a "co-pay." Some insurance programs will not cover the full amount of your visit, and you will be responsible for the remainder of the balance. You should call your healthcare insurance company to confirm eligibility, benefits and co-pay/deductible requirements.
